  I may be getting a bit previous, as they say, but calling in here and planning to watch a football match while on holiday, we lasted all of 90 seconds before departing. One thing I like when on holiday in Spain or France is the fact that a bar is a bar for everyone, not an alternative home for the locals. I can't abide the usual English scene where landlord and/or landlady are holding court behind the bar, with their regular daily clientele clustered around them like needy children. Yet here was that same sort of scene replicated on the Costa Blanca, without so much as a raised eye towards new customers coming in. We decided we'd be better served elsewhere and 10 minutes later on the beach front we found lovely food, a great bottle of wine and very prompt and friendly service from a smiley Spanish waitress. That just about says it all. For me, this place is one to avoid and I definitely wouldn't consider it again. But then again, if Costa Corrie is your thing, it might be right up your street.
